DSL Provides Renewable Energy Solution for Building Services at Benenden School Science Centre.
This multi-million pound project was commissioned by Benenden Girls School to promote excellence in the Sciences and consists of three floors housing teaching, preparation facilities and a state of the art auditorium for Biology, Physics and Chemistry, together with full height atrium and entrance area.
DSL is proud to have been involved in this prestigious project, supplying and installing a highly efficient renewable energy solution to provide the required environment for staff, students and visitors at the Science Centre at Benenden School.
The environmentally friendly installation includes a biomass boiler and a rainwater harvesting system, where rainwater is used for the flushing of toilets. Sophisticated controls ensure that the environment within the building is maintained at the required levels.
The Royal Institute of British Architects has presented the Benenden School Science Centre with it’s RIBA South East Regional Award in recognition of architectural excellence.
