Goddards Green Sewage Treatment Centre, West Sussex.
A complete mechanical service
DSL working in partnership with Morrison Utility Services provided the complete mechanical service including the purging of the reactor, installation of new valves and the commissioning of the plant back into service.
A nitrogen purge on the 128m³ reactor was carried out to allow the reactor to be internally cleaned by others. As part of the project modifications to the reactor system pipework were undertaken to allow for the installation of two new 8” isolation valves. The isolation valves were installed to allow greater control of the system when cleaning of the reactor is required.
As Goddards Green is an operational sewage treatment works and also Southern Water’s flagship site DSL had to complete the works in a very limited timescale and to a very high standard. All objectives were met within the allowed time with positive feedback and praise from Morrison Utility Services (working on behalf of Southern Water).
As on previous projects the reactor works at Goddards were carried out to the highest of standards, on time and at great value.
